I think it would be neat if you put this in a dock someplace in your listening area as a giant stationary controller with big buttons and playback status that easily readable from far away. One problem though is that I think a landscape orientation would be better suited for that. >From what I saw, the docks hold the iPad in a portait orientation only. This brings to my mind those gigantic oversized universal remotes you see in drug stores here in the US. Probably not the image that Apple was shooting for :-).
