I average 2 free CDs a month from the shop I visit most. One gets a free
CD every time one buys 15 CDs so I guess I average about 30 to 35 CDs a
month. Buying has actually gotten more active after buying a Squeezebox.
Once ripped, I don't have to mess with finding the one I'm
thinking/looking for and then inserting a CD in a CDP anymore. Also, I
listen to an hour or two of Internet Radio a day and hear songs or
artists I want to add to my collection so I go in search of them. Most
good artist have 7 to 15 CDs and if I tend to like them I end up with
probably at least half of their catalog.

Saw Pink Martini on the display ad of the Squeezebox. Went looking for
them to listen to a few songs and now have four of their CDs. The better
half even likes them. I have a good bit of easy listening artists
because that is who the better half likes to listen to. She bought about
500 of the CDs that I didn't already have out of her collection of about
800.
