I average 2 free CDs a month from the shop I visit most. One gets a free CD every time one buys 15 CDs so I guess I average about 30 to 35 CDs a month. Buying has actually gotten more active after buying a Squeezebox. Once ripped, I don't have to mess with finding the one I'm thinking/looking for and then inserting a CD in a CDP anymore. Also, I listen to an hour or two of Internet Radio a day and hear songs or artists I want to add to my collection so I go in search of them. Most good artist have 7 to 15 CDs and if I tend to like them I end up with probably at least half of their catalog.
Saw Pink Martini on the display ad of the Squeezebox. Went looking for them to listen to a few songs and now have four of their CDs. The better half even likes them. I have a good bit of easy listening artists because that is who the better half likes to listen to. She bought about 500 of the CDs that I didn't already have out of her collection of about 800. -- iPhone *iPhone* Media Room: Transporter, VTL TL-6.5 Signature Pre-Amp, Ayre MX-R Mono's, VeraStarr 6.4SE 6-channel Amp, Vandersteen Speakers: Quatro Mains, VCC-5 Reference Center, four VSM-1 Signatures, Video: Runco RS 900 CineWide AutoScope 2.35:1 Living Room: Duet, ADCOM GTP-870HD, Cinepro 3K6SE III Gold, Vandersteen Model 3A Signature, Two 2Wq subs, VCC-2, Two VSM-1 Kitchen: Squeezebox BOOM Bedroom: Second Boom Bathroom: Squeezebox Radio Ford Thunderbird: Duet, Mac Mini Ford Expedition: SB Touch, USB drive ------------------------------------------------------------------------ iPhone's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13622 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75205 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
