squeezeslave doesn't use any pulse audio libraries and the OSS static
binary I built for you doesn't support PA.  Is there another process
using a lot of CPU?  Are you play any other audio sources when this
happens? Those messages are from the port audio library attempting to
reduce it's cpu usage.  I have seen this on my PCH using the OSS DSP
module but never when using the USB sound card. So I assumed it was
caused by a bug in the DSP module.
