No magic there, it is simple TCP/IP discovery, both Touch and LMS (ie your computer) are simply broadcasting there presence, nothing more. Same as your WiFi being seen by your device (SB player, computer, whatever), just because they see each other does not mean they are connected to each other. Or a simple DLNA device seeing a new server on your network. But they are not connected until you manually connect them.
