replaced version that had been located in /usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/i386-linux and restarted the machine that SBS runs on. Still the same problem. Not quite sure why that wouldn't have worked. Also tried with aac 'disabled' instead of 'native', but no joy. I'll either have to upgrade, or convert this file externally.
