given your described needs, and based only on what I've read, I'd say the SONOS system would work perfectly for you. At least one of the players needs to be connected to your router (or you need the bridge). Otherwise SONOS creates its own WIFI network (different from your regular WIFI). Or one can also connect the players with ethernet. See this thread on sonos forum for former sb users. http://forums.sonos.com/showthread.php?t=31016 p.s. I have a major SB setup but don't plan on getting rid of anything.
