Just connect the Pi via ethernet to your router - then you need to
install PuTTy on your laptop (eg. 
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html).  Use
PuTTy to connect to the Pi running squeezeplug.   You need to know the
ip address of your booted Pi to connect via PuTTy ( try
https://www.softperfect.com/download/freeware/netscan.zip ).   Netscan
will show you the ip address of the Pi which will show as SQUEEZEPLUG . 
Once you connect via PuTTy the first time, you should get a
configuration menu on the Pi.  On subsequent connects via PuTTy you have
to tye setup to get the menus.

I'm sure there are some basic tutorials available ....
