Yes, LMS was not only stopped, but also exited.  And yes, LMS was
relaunched after the file was deleted.  I changed the playlist directory
and am now running a "look for new and changed media files" scan.  The
result being that nothing new was added to the scanner log, but I now
have two copies of each playlist.  And both of them for the playlist
that prompted this thread, have only 41 of the 1201 tracks referenced.
