So, I have set up my VortexBox now. Instead of building a new box, I
reused an old ASRock ION 330 I found and upgraded it to 4 GB of RAM
instead of 2 GB and put in a 2 TB harddisk. So far, everything runs
smoothly. The only issue I have is with the Player (is it a
LocalPlayer?) that it offers. It only plays audio through the headphone
jack, but the ASRock box also has an optical out (SPDIF). How do I
configure ALSA audio under Fedora? In the web interface under "Configure
Player" it shows me the following:

Code:
--------------------
    ALSA device list
  0 [NVidia ]: HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia
HDA NVidia at 0xfae78000 irq 20

  List of audio device ports
  1: : sequencer
  2: [ 0] : control
  3: [ 0- 0]: digital audio playback
  4: [ 0- 0]: digital audio capture
  5: [ 0- 1]: digital audio playback
  6: [ 0- 3]: digital audio playback
  7: [ 0- 0]: hardware dependent
  8: [ 0- 3]: hardware dependent
  33: : timer
