In my experience the Spotty plugin disappears when a new version is released and the auto installation feature of LMS picks it up. In the meantime the old plugin version is still working fine btw.
After a manual restart of LMS the plugin (new version) is back in the list and running. I am running LMS 7.9.x. on Xubuntu 16.04LTS.
