There are reasons why giving LMS a reserved IP address via Dhcp is the best approach but if you cant for whatever reason then you could manually give it a static IP outside of the dhcp range. How you do this depends on the os that LMS is running on. You do however need to access the router to check the dhcp range. Google will tell you more or post back with more info if you want guidance.
