I went through a phase about 15 years ago where I rarely pulled out a CD or LP to play. Strangely, the introduction of the iPod reenergized my interest in music. It seemed like a cool gadget. I started digitizing my music (as mp3, before I knew what lossy vs lossless meant). Having it at my fingertips pulled me back in to rediscovering my music. I eventually wanted to have it all digital (many thousands of CDs) and learned about lossless (so switched to FLAC). It was my search for something that could hold my entire collection that led me to squeezeboxes. This in turn led to even more rediscovery of my music collection (and adding to it extensively). p.s.
