Well, my old PC on which I ripped my CDs has no monitor, but does have a
copy of Foobar installed. Using Remote-desktop from my Chromebook I
discovered I could reconfigure the Foobar library to access by Samba my
new Flac Library on my new Pi.

Using Foobar in about 40 minutes I sorted out the tagging issues on the
Pi.

Foobar has many useful features - one is to read the music files in
their directory structure - that helped.

Job done.

So to return this thread to it's theme: Yes, I can use my Chromebook to
run my LMS, though maybe not in the same sense as the OP asked the
question!
