I'm going to advertise my ignorance about home automation here and ask why using slimserver's web ui on your Palm is a no-go. I imagine I'm missing something, but isn't it a matter of running two apps on your Palm instead of having it all in Salling Clicker? Especially with the handheld, touch, or Nokia770 skins, SS gives you a nice remote interface. No line of sight needed.
