Spotted an 800 in the wild (compUsa). The first thing that caught my attention were scratches on the display. After attempting to rub the marks off to no avail, I lightly scraped the display with my thumbnail and sure enough it was permanently marked. I do mean lightly too.
They had the 770 next to it, which seems to have a glass coating. Scratching this one hard left no mark.
