Well you can hardly trust anything you read online anyway. Whenever someone gets something new it sounds fabulous. There are a lot of reviews of the 11L, and I trust the retailer that the powered version sounds better. Otherwise, he'd be losing a potential sale of an 11L plus amp package. I also liked the idea of dual mono amps with an active crossover inside and balanced and single ended input. $550 seemed like a pretty good deal considering the high WAF of the multi-coat piano lacquer finish (not to mention that silver is not available in the US).
