This has been discussed quite a bit, but in summary (SB3 vs M1001): Yes, the DAC is much better quality in the SB3. It also doesn't resample everything to 48kHz like the Roku. Roku screen is 280x16, SB3 is 320x32. Roku RAM is 16mb, SB3 is 64MB (more memory == less skipping) Roku only does 802.11b, SB3 does b/g. SB3 can act as a wireless bridge, Roku can't. Roku THD: -90dB, SB3: -93.5dB Roku SNR: >96dB, SB3: >100dB I don't think Roku players can be sync'd. Roku supports Slimserver very poorly, otherwise you're stuck with WMC which is MUCH less useful. For me, slimserver is key.
