Better vs. Cheaper is not what killed BetaMax. What killed BetaMax was
they did not believe in a place called Blockbuster or all the "Adult"
titles that were put on VHS. If one wanted to go in the back room or
behind the curtain for the "special" movies, one had to own a VHS.
Porno killed BetaMax!

People that want to play MP4s and also don’t think there is any
difference in an MP3 played on an iPod or their home stereo ARE going
to buy the cheapest player they can, period. At this time that is ROKU
and as they keep losing market share they will keep dropping their
price. Kia is a car as is Hyundai. You do not see BMW, Audi, and
Porsche making crap just to compete price wise because they sell cars
also.

Logitech is doing the right thing. They are setting the standard and
bringing the market to them. The word is out and once anybody you talk
to about it can buy SB3 at any big box store, lookout. We had a few
friends over for dinner last night and I had a background music
playlist running before, during, and after dinner. While we were having
our after dinners drinks in the living room, somebody asked if I burned
a bunch of MP3s to play all night. I said no the CD palyer is not even
on and ask who their favorite Artist was. They said Van Morrison and I
asked what song. I played it in seconds and they asked if I could make
it play all Van Morrison songs, which I did. Anyway, two of the couples
we had over want my help setting up Squeezebox networks in their homes
before Thanksgiving.
