I had exactly the same problems and assumed it was the WLAN to start with. I have now moved house and have my combination of one SB, an SB2 and an SB3 linked by ethernet using static IPs. The SB3 still experienced the stopping mentioned in this thread and a firmware roll-back fixed it. Even tried version 7 without success.
