Indeed, most NAS's run some variety of Linux....

The only real difference is a "home NAS" is usually on very limited
hardware, suitable for one or maybe two machines copying files at
"acceptable" speed.

A business NAS is going to have beefier hardware and is even harder to
distinguish from a PC.
