I think I've cracked it. In the "audio" settings for SB2 & SB3 SC7 sets the final item described as "MP3 Streaming method" to "Direct Streaming" once I changed this to "Proxied Streaming" I was finally able to get the dabbar streams working.
Using the OPML that BPA created imported into my favourites it all works fine. Should the need arise how does one edit an OPML file?
