I have one with the wireless display. I don't have any problems with the
display's battery. I seem to remember some procedure for activating it for
charging though. I also found their phone support to be really good, so you
may just give them a call after a really good RTFM session.

I have had mine for about 8 months so far and the wife and kids are altering
the way the do thing to use power during the off-peak times. The real time
cost display is giving them a real idea on exactly how much it cost to take
showers at different times.

My only complaint so far has been that the box recently became unstable and
was crashing alot. I sent an email off to them and got a reply a few days
later. It did however take 2 weeks to get me the replacement unit which kind
of sucked, but I know they are running pretty lean as a startup so I will
let it slide for now.
