I'll clarify that I've RTFMed and have repeatedly executed the documented procedure of inserting the display for 15 seconds, removing it and then re-inserting it. Lots of people on their support forum claim they've done the same.
I'll try their phone support again tomorrow in the hopes that I simply hit them on a bad day... I don't have any problems with the display's battery. I seem to remember some procedure for activating it for charging though. I also found their phone support to be really good, so you may just give them a call after a really good RTFM session. I have had mine for about 8 months so far and the wife and kids are altering the way the do thing to use power during the off-peak times. The real time cost display is giving them a real idea on exactly how much it cost to take showers at different times. My only complaint so far has been that the box recently became unstable and was crashing alot. I sent an email off to them and got a reply a few days later. It did however take 2 weeks to get me the replacement unit which kind of sucked, but I know they are running pretty lean as a startup so I will let it slide for now. I'm wondering if anyone else has purchased their product with the wireless display and has had problems getting the wireless display's battery to take a charge. ...or, more importantly, if anyone has been able to remedy this problem. Their support forum is littered with identical complaints, all of which appear to be going unanswered and there's a lot of frustration being expressed. I tried calling them this morning and got no answer after navigating through their IVR. ==== Jeremy Charles Epic's Computer and Technology Services Division [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Phone: 608-410-4944 Fax: 608-271-7237 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
