As someone else who tries to keep her home life simple, I like to answer that question by talking (with a little humor) about how I manage my home network to meet the business requirements. My home customer (me) wants security, stability, high uptime and minimal maintenance, and the ability to leverage their existing investment in software. So, I use very standard components and pay careful attention to network and system security.
There's no shortage of things to learn and work to do - I have never yet had a job where I ran out of projects, if I feel like doing extra work in my spare time. I like to think that it's a *plus* that my technical reading and continuing education is focused on topics that relate to my job. (which is not to say that I'm offline from 5pm to 9am, or 8pm to 7am or whatever. Seem to still spend a lot of time at the keyboard...) _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
