It isn't going to change with any bit of rapidness, I'm afraid. It
is frankly an uphill battle for a variety of reasons. Like anything
else, it will take time. As a bit of a parallel, it's similar to
the situation Window-Eyes has been in in comparison to JAWS. With
improvements in Leopard that have been mentioned in various places,
it will, hopefully, give additional strength to those fighting the
proverbial "good fight".

MAC VOICEOVER TRAINING

Even if we had them, they would be sketchy, at best, because, up
until now, those statistics haven't been kept. But the majority
argument for Windows usage is the argument that our center uses to
justify not providing training for those students who want to learn
the Mac. There is a woman here in Anchorage who encouraged me to
go back to the Mac, when Panther was introduced, and I've been
using it since. I haven't talked with Trudy in a while, but she
said that those of us in the Anchorage area who are Mac users need
to press our case to our counselors--even go out and demonstrate
how it works, if we have to. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.
