Yes apparently the screen is grey
but if i hold the shift while pushing the power button then there is an immage on the screen. I only know this because i asked my partner to read it to me
now is there any way i can reboot from the OS diskc?

any help would be most appreciated.

Hi Keith, Esther and several others have posted solutions on how to get
VoiceOver reactivated. One thing Esther suggested to me to check, is to
make sure the F6 key didn't trigger on the Numlock. Press Command+F6,
then try pressing Command+F5. When I had that problem, she pointed out
that this works in most cases. However, I will have to look through my
archived folders and reread that message because there were a couple of
instances where that may not work. But it has been a life saver. HTH.
And thanks again, Esther. Richie Gardenhire, Anchorage, Alaska.
