Hi Tim,
Yes, it does show the combination in an edit field. It will
work in finder and in a few other places, but I need to mess around
some more with this.

TK: Does VO read your key combination in the Edit field of the Add
Shortcut dialog? It should do that if it accepts the key
combination, just navigate around within that dialog before pressing
return to check this out. As well, if you navigate around the
System Preference, and if there's a conflict that the OS can
determine it will let you know in a text field near the Restore
Defaults button. I'm not sure about Spark as I don't have it
installed.
