TK: The Airport Extreme still has the USB port which can be
configured for a network disk, a network printer or both if you use
a hub.
Oh, well, I missed that. I wish I would have looked more closely at
that before I bought a printer with a RJ45 interface.
TK: the Airport Extreme comes with Airport Utility which is
totally compatible with VO and allows you to configure the Airport
Extreme rather easily. Myself, I have a Time Capsule which is an
Airport Extreme with a built-in 500 GBHD for time Machine backups.
I also have two Airport Express units connected using WDS for
playing itunes music on either the upstairs or downstairs stereos.
Everything works well and is extremely quick for Internet access
and between devices attached to the network.
What is wds? How do you access an extreme to configure it? The
only advantage I can see to the 2wire then would be the built in
modem.
