the keyboard is roughly the same.  what you get is extra room below the 
keyboard.

Hi,  I bought pro.  I didn't even look at the standard because I need
a notebook for the next three years at least.  From memory, the major
difference is that the pros have 15 inch and 17 inch screens as
opposed to 13 on the standard.  If the size of the screen doesn't
impact the size of the keybord then go for the standard.  I'm doing
things with windows though still and I really can't do without any of
the keys I've got here.
I'm not an expert though, maybe some one will correct me.
