Jerry, glossy screens always show a bit of glare so yes, that is an issue, but the screen on the MB's is really very good so not only does it have a wide viewing angle and can be easily seen from a distance, but it is also exceptionally bright / clear. So unless you'll be in a constant very bright environment, I think it should be fine.

Just my thoughts, of course, and others here may also have some feedback.

Best of luck on your purchase and hope you *really* enjoy it! I sure love mine! <smile>

Have a lovely evening!…

Cara :)

I was about to get my MacBook, but wanted to know people's opinions. Should I just get it directly from a local Apple store, or call the toll free number or what to get it? And, is there any cheaper way to get one than Apple, and still get one new? And one thing I never had answered was the glossy screen. Does that cause any problems with someone sighted who may be looking at it? Or someone vvisually impaired for that matter. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Jerry
