Rumor of a possible Mac trojan

I'm not really sure if this is true or not, but someone told me of a radio 
show they were listening to where a caller called in and said that their 
Safari stopped working. They went to twitter.com, I believe, and on some 
page an xp popup killed Safari. The tech folks on this show couldn't help 
them get it working again. I don't know if this is true or not, or if the 
person that this happened to just didn't know much about computers. Any 
thoughts?
