I don't know if this will help, but I had a similar problem when installing the keyboard firmware update, it was as if the focus had disappeared. I can't remember the keystroke at the moment, I'm still learning the voice over keys, though I think it's control+option+f2. The one I'm thinking of is the application list, for me, selecting the appropriate application and window restored everything to normal. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Søren Jensen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "General discussions on all topics relating to the use of Mac OS X by theblind" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 05, 2008 10:55 AM Subject: Problems with text editing
Hi all. I have a very annoying problem while editing text: Suddenly, Voiceover won't read the text while pressing the arrow keys. I have tried to interact and stop interacting with all scroll and text areas. When I'm using the VO cursor, it works fine. All cursors are set to follow each others in Voiceovers Utility settings. Sometimes it will read the text while pressing the arrow keys, and sometimes it won't. This is both happening in Text edit and Bean. This makes me unable to edit documents on my Mac, so I must do it on my Windows machine. Best regards Søren Jensen Mail & MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Website: http://www.coolfortheblind.dk/
