I can't find acquire from the menu. When I press command o, it opens a
"open dialog", where I can choose to open a file.
I'll check hps website for informations about a driver for my scanner.
I'll write back if I don't find anything.
I'm just wandering why I can't find any acquire buttons in the
software. I have checked all menus, looked in the toolbar and tried
all unlabled buttons, but I can't find it. Does the program works in
different ways if you don't have any drivers installed?
I'm not sure, but I think I'm using ReadIris version 11.5. How do I
check which version I have?
Best regards

what happens when you select acquire from the Menu? readiris will
either
work or it won't and if it doesn't work, it's been my experience that
nothing will make it work except a different scanner. If your
printing
supports Mac, it doesn't necessarily mean that the scanner does. If
you go
to the hp web site and plug in the model of your all in one you can
read all
about it. They have documentation on all their scanners and
software for
them too on their site and I have found them to be most helpful when
calling
them.

Hi David.
I have a hp printer and scanner in one box. The printer supports Mac,
so I assume the scanner also is supported. I can't find my scanner in
Readiris. I'll try to search for a driver...

you need to be certain that your scanner is supported on the Mac and

I'm using a HP scanner. I didn't thought it would make any
differences
to the scanner program which driver I'm using.

If you are using a canon canolide scanner, there scangeer driver is
useless with VO. Well it isn't quite that, but the only thing you
can't click is the scan button. You have to move to where it says
"scan" Then move your finger to the extreme right of the trackpad
and move it down a little, then click. Sounds hard, but once you get
it your usually okay.
Mind you, I can't find a support site to contact the developers
directly. Canon support are useless.

Readiris has a full set of menus with shortcuts for quite a few of
