ok i am getting a better upgraded macbook tomorrow
can i just pop my leopard disk into the new machine and format the
drive without re installing the OS?
then boot up again from the cd, click the restore from backup option
under utilities, and chose a time machine backup?
will that put i guess the OS back on the system, the home folders, and
all accounts music, including i tunes purchases etc?
tIn other words, i assume the latest backup restores the new laptop to
how the old one is now

P.S. just want to make sure i know please, what i am doing before
attempting this. at least re installing from backup means i can avoid
the unnecissary clutter that comes with a new install
