hi tim so would that move all my data across, this migration assistant
including music, documents, downloads, podcast etc. etc?
so in other words, the whole home folder which ocntains everything
doesn't it i.e. if i ask it to migrate will across from this mac, all
the data would come across so i would notice no changes?

TK: If it did work, I believe that it would be more hassle than
it's worth.If you're new MacBook is brand new, it will already come
with Leopard pre-installed, and upon startup will give you the
option of copying all your data, user information and network
settings over from your old Mac. All you'll need in that case is a
firewire cable and the Set-up Assistant will guide you through the
rest. This process would also work if it's not a brand new MacBook,
simply use your Leopard DVD to install Leopard on the newer MacBook
and then follow the same migration options as mentioned earlier.
