Maybe I'm confused here, but if you just open a file, you don't have
to add it to your play lists or anything else. Once Itunes opens it,
it'll just start playing. That checkbox mentioned does keep Itunes
from adding everything it opens to the library.

definitely a good thing, but it doesn't let you use iTunes without
putting a file into the library. It just doesn't go far enough for

rong button on the buss the other day and over 600 audiobook
tracks got slammed into my itunes library. Oh my goondness it was
rather a large mess, and only myself to blaim.

it's VLC for me from now on. I'm sick of it importing my voice
