Hi David,
You're welcome. I'm trying to figure out how my post only showed up
on this list 14 hours after I sent it, though <smile>.
Cheers,
Esther

Hi David,
The Firewire 800 cable connector will feel rectangular and
symmetric. The Firewire 400 connector will feel flat on one of the
rectangle's short sides, but beveled on the opposite short side --
you can feel on the connector port where it gets pluggred in that one
end is tapered. Don't you have a Mac Mini? I didn't think any of
the Mac Minis had Firewire 800 ports -- only USB2 ports and a single
Firewire 400 port like the MacBook.

Hi Everyone,
I have two different types of firewire cable here. I have them as
a result
of an external firewire drive which I just purchased. Can you tell
me how
you can tell which is the firewire cable for 800? Thanks in advance,
David Truong
