Welll.... the techie answer is. MS Office uses the UI of windows while
OpenOffice.org use it's UI. Windows UI gets loaded when your OS is loaded.
OpenOffice.org has to load it the first time you start OpenOffice.org on
your Operating System.
So if you open openoffice.org and then close it and then open it again it
will start as fast as MSO.
I do not want to be too dependent on Microsoft but would also like to try
other competitive alternatives. I believe
Openoffice is one of those.
