As an experiment I coloured some of the cell backgrounds to show me Paste
Special was being applied

Special pasting Formats coloured the receiving cells correctly but made no
change to width or height. I have tried many times times including pasting
Text as well as Formats at the same time which works

I can change width and height using the Format function in the toolbar and
also change width with the mouse, so it seems they are not locked

Any idea what the trouble is?
