I think that people who want to act as spoke-persons, or public relation representatives, should keep their mouths shut on un-necessary inflamatory statements, because whether they, or we, like it or not, a competitor will take advantage of this.
I can see a representative coming and quoting you and saying to a minister of the rightist trash leaning "do you really think you should work with unstable communists?" see what this guy is writing in his/her blog. I know that the Sapir black book days are over, but in many countries such statements would lead to resignations. I don't care if you are a racist, sexist, homophobe, right wing or left wing crazy, as long as you keep it to yourself. If you do not, I may not want you to represent me. I have dissolved an open source development partnership because of similar arguments, and will do so again - some people I just don't want to be associated with.
