According to http://a11yproject.com/posts/myth-screen-readers-dont-use-javascript/ <http://a11yproject.com/posts/myth-screen-readers-dont-use-javascript/> the majority of screen readers are perfectly capable of using javascript. It’s unclear what standard of JS they support though.
