FYI: Yadis and LID were explicitly designed to be usable by software that doesn't have a GUI, and OpenID can be used that way as well.
That's a nice feature for a system to have, but it's not the same as the point I was making. There's more to the obstacles than just GUI.
Can YADIS/LID/OpenID be used to authenticate a WebDAV client to a WebDAV server, for some/most/all of the current typical WebDAV clients and servers? If so, then you've met the requirement Peter set.
