I started to work on the Danish Django translation some months ago. I have just become aware of the meaning of the date and time variables in the Django translation files - i. e. 'DATE_FORMAT', 'DATETIME_FORMAT' etc. These should not be "translated" but replaced with special formatting codes that indicates how you show date and time in your language. If you don't do this it will (according to my experience) lead to strange date and time errors in Django applications. I think it would be helpful if this was pointed out to new translators somewhere.
