Yes, it just makes it very simple to upload to your own file store. Pure
and simple.

Yup - I can't code it. If I could, I would. Not helped by Moz devs
completely changing the API etc so it needs a major rewrite. I guess you
could take some inspiration from the WeTransfer extension embedded in TB

But yes, I don't think anything will now change and TB/DL is a lost cause.

I think that might be being unkind. I believe it is due to circumstances
beyond his control. But no one should speculate.

Yes, the web site/git page should probably be changed.

I guess that begs the question as to whether anyone else will take it
on/maintain it?

I'd happily help, but my coding skills are nowhere near good enough.
