James,   I think you're problem is that you're running R1 of Cubase.. Rewire 2 is not properly implemented in Cubase 5 until R4 or R5... You can use HUBI's loopback to send midi to Reason from Cubase but I've found it to have syncing problems on my system... (running the Reason upgrade and Cubase 5 R5)   If you use a later release of Cubase you'll find that each device in reason will appear in the device list in Cubase and can then be selected and used as normal... The only problem that I have with this method is that it seems to be limited to 16 devices.. This wouldn't be such a problem if it weren't for the fact that my default Reason song has more devices than that and only one of them is an instrument! (Redrum hooked up to a load of compressors etc...).
