Also make sure that all the other connections are standard and that the VGA
card/sound card etc. are not built into the motherboard... Although you may
be able to disable them it's more trouble than it's worth...

Oh and also check that the memory etc. is standard.. I don't know how it
works now but for quite a long time some manufacturer's PCs would only
accept that manufacturer's memory modules.. (Which, surprise surprise, were
tres expensive!)

Good luck

I know one guy that had a Mesh computer and ran it with no
problems. One thing to check is the link from the power
switch to the motherboard. If this is standard, it means
upgrading will be easy in the future. However, certain
manufacturers, such as Dell put custom boards in, so that it
is not possible to upgrade your motherboard. Whilst this
might sound like a small issue now, from experience, it
could me a major downside in a couple of years. The same
applies to any other non standard hardware.

OK,

Does anyone have any stories relating to the above two
manufacturers?
I'm torn between which one to purchase my system from, so
any opinions, good
or bad would be greatly appreciated :)
