I prefer CD's myself (but I don't DJ) because they're easier to use, and cost less. One things that really sucks it that DNB doesn't get released fast enough on CD (if at all), but there is one thing more bothering me about CD's though.
Because it's so easy to copy them, and burn them at home a lot of wannabee DJ's will be burning dubs on CD without ever paying a penny to the producers who make their living off it. Lately I've been reading a lot of reports about CD sales dropping all around the globe, and this is blamed on the fact people can nowadays download anything from the internet and burn it on CD themselves (and I don't doubt this). Because of the use of vinyl in the dnbscene the producers are still getting payed for their work, and can continue to make tunes. If everyone start burning the latest tunes on CD, that will not be the case, and the scene will slowly bleed to death. Long live vinyl I'd say ;) ------------------------ On 28 Feb 2002 at 12:14, mbrodie wrote: > Heh, This thread iz funny. > > Anyone who would say that CDs should not be used in a set iz crazy.
