Title: RE: [dnb-prod] Re: CDs v Vinyl
part of the reason the CD sounds different is that each player has its own sound (someone correct me if i am wrong). have you tried recording to DAT - another digital medium - and seeing if you're still losing out on the subs? cos these days there's not much chance of completely avoiding the digital domain at some point between your head and the pressing plant unless you've got one of those big ole tape machines...

I look at it like this,

I notice most of your chaps (not forgetting the chapesses on the list) create everything using the digital domain. Fair point, no problem using CD, infact you may well get a better sounding trax on high frequencies that are not possible on vinyl, but I have noticed by ear the difference I get to my traxs when burnt to CD, especially bottom end. Those nice warm subs DO sound different.

Each to there own, but if I created everything in the digital domain, I too would be arguing your point.

Peace

Martyn
