Funny... 

I had that same problem with an EMU.  I bought an old esi 32 and freaking 
hated the damn thing.  Great sampler...wonderful sound design stuff, but I 
just hated the OS. 

For people who are into the hardware the way I am, I would offer this peice 
of advice. 

If you dont like the peice of gear...get rid of it.  Find something you 
enjoy working with a peice of gear that inspires you to work with it...your 
music will thank you for it.
