"I tend to just twiddle around with the knobs on my compressor until i get the right sound, which is far from scientific."
Not scientific, but it's the best way to go about it. Different people have different styles of working, so there's little chance of a generic set of compression settings being fine for everyone. I once used those Computer Music settings (they also appeared in Future Music) and they didn't work for me. For my style of doing things, less is more (remember that there's often a reduction in total quality the more you compress) and let the guy mastering a plate sort it out. --- Drum&Bass Arena Producers Discussion List http://www.breakbeat.co.uk You are currently subscribed to dnb-prod as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
